Turkey

Turkey is one of the world’s fastest growing economies and its growing digital economy - including the world's third largest market in online shopping- is leading to increasing opportunities for creative entrepreneurs to get their goods to market.

The Turkish economy has enjoyed strong growth, fuelled by trade and foreign investment.   According to UNDP’S Creative Economy report, amongst the world's emerging markets, Turkey is one of the top three performers in exporting creative services including Art & Crafts, Publishing, Performing Arts and Visual Arts. 

Our creative economy work in Turkey is focused on sharing successful UK methodologies to help Turkish creative practitioners develop sustainable businesses.  We have been working with Nesta’s Creative Enterprise Toolkit, which is now translated into Turkish and available as a free download.  We're also developing a total of 100 creative businesses in Turkey over 2015 – 2016 through workshops in the following cities:
