In this report, 12 emerging Chinese cities were mapped to capture the fast-changing landscape of China’s cultural, creative, urban and environmental sectors. The research focuses on the ways in which local cultural ecosystems and creative practices contribute to sustainable and inclusive city design. The research also gives attention to the shifting audience profile and talent outlook brought about by digital and lifestyle changes within the last decade.
