Sarah Perks

Sarah Perks is Programme & Engagement Director at Cornerhouse, Manchester’s international centre for contemporary visual arts and film.

She is part of the senior management team and responsible for the visual arts and film programme, education, and marketing.

Recent exhibitions produced by Sarah at Cornerhouse include State Legacy: Research in the Visualisation of Political History, a collaboration with MIRIAD at Manchester Metropolitan Unibverity and OCAT, Shenzhen, China and Procession: An Exhibition as part of the Manchester International Festival. Previously Education Director, Sarah also manages the education team that includes the innovative and award winning programme LiveWire (for young people aged 14 – 19 years).

Sarah is also a director of Northern Film Network and a lecturer and writer, specialising in Asian art and cinema. Sarah recently completed a Common Purpose Matrix Leadership course and led a Cultural Leadership Programme for CAV venues research project on personalisation, audiences and organisational culture.
