Western Balkans Start Up Youth Entrepreneur Challenge

Charles is one of the most visionary and important supporters of London's "creative class". He runs several creative hubs and is behind a innovative new residential development. He partnered with British Council during the Western Balkans Start Up Youth Entrepreneur Challenge

The Trampery

A social entrepreneur and specialist in strategic property development for innovation clusters, Charles established The Trampery, the first workspace dedicated to startups in London's "Tech City"​ neighbourhood in 2009, and has opened six further buildings in London since then.

Each location is focused on a different sector including software, fashion, art-tech and traveltech. Partners include the Mayor of London, Publicis Worldwide, the Barbican and British Fashion Council. The Trampery also advises governments worldwide on master-planning innovation clusters and works with corporate clients to design working environments. The Trampery's Patron is HRH the Duke of York.

Charles was one of a trio of panel judges at the Youth Entrepreneurs Challenge, Skopje in Feb 2016

In March this year, it was announced that in partnership with London housing provider Peabody, The Trampery is building a village for entrepreneurs, offering a place to live and to grow their business, with shared facilities and support. The project is being developed on a six-acre site in Hackney Wick, East London, under the name Fish Island Village.
