Andres Kütt

Estonian invention and international success story, Skype is an innovative new model, bringing in investment, engaging users and building a brand.

Andres has been involved in software business for the past 17 years moving from simple programming tasks towards more complicated systems and the issues of managing software development. He has helped to push forward Estonian internet banking evolution and held a key position in executing the accession of Estonia to EUs tax and customs systems. Parallel to this, Andres has acquired a MSc of Mathematical Statistics from University of Tartu and an MBA from Estonian Business School. His current position is Chief Evangelist at Skype and is working towards a MSc at the Systems Design and Management program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Andres was a keynote speaker at our Creative Hotspots conference in Tallinn in March 2011, focussing on innovative new business models in the creative industries.
