AMPLIFY Residency in Partnership with Somerset House and MUTEK

We have partnered with Somerset House Studios and MUTEK to host 11 female identifying artists and producers working across digital arts in Canada, Argentina, Peru and UK.

We have partnered with Somerset House Studios and MUTEK to host 11 female identifying artists and producers working across digital arts in Canada, Argentina, Peru and UK.

AMPLIFY is an ambitious international initiative connecting an active network of female-identifiying artists and curators working in the digital arts, VR, AR, and immersive storytelling sectors in Argentina, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Peru and the UK.

This intiative builds on existing links in the Americas and the UK, with its main purpose to connect different cultures and experiences;the network activates a platform for dialogues on access, inclusion and gender equality between local and international industry professionals.

The British Council will support an international cohort of female practitioners, supporting an Americas/UK network, and develop a stronger community of women practitioners who are looking to thrive, support one another and challenge male dominated discourse and practice within these spaces, whilst forging new ones.

AMPLIFY will take place in Somerset House Studios from June 4th- 8th 2019.

Participating artists will become residents for one week and will engage in a series of workshops, creative labs, performances and exhibitions all culminating in Inter, a 2 day programme ( 7th- 8th June) open to the public.

Three more AMPLIFY events are due to take place later this year in Montreal, Argentina and Peru.
