The open call is part of a project titled Connect for Creativity, led by British Council in Turkey in partnership with Abdullah Gül University and ATOLYE creative hub (Turkey), Bios (Greece), Nova Iskra (Serbia). The project is co-funded by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey, through the intercultural dialogue programme.
The aim of this study is to explore the role of creative hubs and clusters in developing intercultural dialogue among cultural institutions and civil society; highlighting new trends and concepts emerging out of these communities, and map key players in four countries: Turkey, Greece, Serbia and UK.This study will also feature information about the challenges and opportunities faced and recommendations for better approaches to support creative hubs and clusters.
The appointed research team will be expected to develop a methodology for the baseline and mapping, and also work together with Abdullah Gül University (AGÜ), who will be trained on using methodology and will be supported them to carry out the research, with travel opportunities for mixed teams of researchers (UK-Turkey) to conduct in-country research exercises.
The final output will be a research publication which will be presented at the Connect for Creativity Networking Conference in Kayseri in December 2019.
