Open Call: Creative Hub Exchange Programme

We are seeking proposals for the curation and delivery of our Creative Hub Exchange Programme, connecting creative hubs from across East Asia with creative hubs in the UK. THIS CALL IS NOW CLOSED

THIS CALL IS NOW CLOSED.  We are looking for three creative hubs in the UK to curate and deliver a five day Creative Hub Exchange Programme for approximately 15 creative hub managers, coming from across East Asia, in May 2018.

HUBBA, Bangkok

15 creative hub managers (from the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam) will be selected by the British Council to be part of this programme.  The hub managers will be made up of a variety of emerging and established hubs, representing a mixture of sector specific and cross sectoral communities.

Read more here on our definition of hubs.

This will be our third Creative Hub Exchange programme. Our first one was curated by The Whisky Bond/TAKTALThe Trampery and The FuseBox in February 2017, bringing a variety of creative hubs from across Southern Africa to the UK for a programme of sharing and exploration. Our second exchange programme will take place in March, bringing creative hubs from Sub-Saharan Africa to the UK.

These exchange programmes have been developed in response to creative hubs requesting a programme that gives them the opportunity to raise their head above the parapit and see who else is out there and how they can learn from and support one another.

This piece of work is an ideal opportunity for three hubs, from three different cities, to collaborate together on and we will be looking for proposals that outline the full schedule for the week.
