Santiago has worked in the publishing industry since 1994 as a publisher, editor, and translator.
In 1997 he founded, together with his partner Marina Mariasch, his own publishing house, Editorial Siesta. Recognised as one of the finest small publishing houses in Argentina, Siesta has since then published over 50 poetry and fiction titles by Latin American authors. As a Freelance Editor for Emecé (an imprint of one of the biggest publishers in the Spanish-speaking publishing world, Planeta), Santiago has been responsible for the renovation and re-launching of their Argentine and Latin American 'Cruz del Sur' fiction collection.
