Salem Al-Mansoori

Global Futr Lab Participant 2015

Salem Al-Mansoori is an award-winning interdisciplinary designer, and a maker of generative, data-driven, narrative-based works. He is taking part in British Council/ FutureEverything's Global Futr Lab At FutureEverything, Manchester in February 2015.

Salem's body of work crosses disciplines and varies from digital fabrication to data visualization to algorithm-based visual art installations.

He has exhibited in the 28th Annual Exhibition of the Emirates Society of Fine Arts, Design Days Dubai, and Tashkeel, among others. He was also one of the four chosen Emirati designers in the first Design Road Dubai programme to create and exhibit a piece with the mentorship of Lagranja, a design studio in Barcelona. Salem is interested in exploring the idea of a shared online map, a place to create a communal digital space, an exploration of the idea of an online way. It is about creating a shared social identity using a spatial model of data.
