Nika studied composition at Tbilisi State Conservatory and Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts and went on to forge a glittering career in classical music and cultural management.

He is the author of many different style compositions. Nika has transformed from the old note transcript and staged Jacomo Peri’s Opera Euridice, the oldest existing opera in the world.
He is the founder of Young Georgian Composers and Musicians Association and LTD Art for Everybody; as well as the founder of Contemporary Music Festival Kontrapunkt, where the music of two composers, Georgian and Foreign, is performed during the period of three days.
Nika conducted Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony at 11 years of age. In 2003 he conducted the premiere and recording of Gyia Kancheli’s vocal-instrumental work Little Imber in UK.
In 2003 he was invited from Vienna as a Music Director of Tbilisi Music and Drama Theatre. In 2005, he became the Head of Georgia National Music Center as well as Principal Conductor of Georgia's National Symphony Orchestra.
