In 1998,AndrewTanner formed a design partnership called HUB with support from The Princes Trust. The partnership introducedhim to small scale manufacture within the world of British Ceramics.

In 2002he created Andrew Tanner Design to build on previous successes and meet new goals. In 2005 Andrew was awarded the Young Designer of the Year award for two collections which were produced to celebrate the skills ofthe manufacturing capabilities within the UK.

As a ceramic designerAndrew hasa mission statement to create new marriages between traditional manufacture and contemporary design.He isalso recently appointed as Head Designer for Poole Pottery and Royal Stafford Ceramics to inspire and attract new generations by creating collectables for tomorrow.

In 2009 the Arts Council supported a major application to create souvenirs which reflecthis passion for designing for the future, inspired by the past. The outcome is to design souvenirs reflecting the UK as a country of rich foundations for 2012.

Andrew was the winner of theUKYCE DesignAward 2009.
