UnBox Labs at the National Institute of Design

Taking place from the 24 February-7 March at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, UnBox Labs 2014 brings together a highly talented and diverse group of creative practitioners and researchers from the UK and India to explore, innovate and create around the theme of Future Cities.

The selected participants met for the first time last week and are now working in teams to delve further into the projects and the future cities theme. So far, we’ve seen projects such as a human-centred census for the future city and a game that maps people’s expressions and explorations of all the ways in which they might use open spaces in cities- you can watch them unfold here and follow the storify here.

You can also read the British Council's very own Alastair Donald's blog about the ambitions of the Indian cities of the future, featured in Imperica, here.

Watch this space for the outcomes of the Lab which culminate on 7 March – get ready to be inspired!

Unbox Labs has been developed by British Council, Unbox, AHRC and REACT.
