Mapping the Creative Industries: a Toolkit

In many places, very little is known about the creative industries' location and size, or what their needs might be. Mapping is designed to be a first step in addressing this.

The fast-changing and cross-cutting nature of the creative industries poses challenges to both private investors -who may not fully grasp the ways in which the industries are evolving- and governments -which need to better understand the sector if they are to release the full potential of their creative economies and develop appropriate policies.

Mapping the Creative Industries: a Toolkit was developed by BOP Consulting, an independent research and strategy consultancy specialising in culture and the creative industries based in London.
