Arterial Network's Continental Conference on the African Creative Economy
The first African Creative Economy Conference is now over, and the real work starts here in moving forwards with everything we’ve talked about. There’s been so much great insight into the arts sector as it is today in Africa and numerous recommendations for how we can build a sustainable creative economy sector with the right priorities for the region.
The conference was also a great chance to build relationships and make connections between countries and regions, and across all areas of the arts. As Joy Mboya said in her closing speech – even if you don’t make that call for a few months, you know that when the opportunity arises, there’s that contact in a certain country who you can now call on!
A big thanks to everyone for your contribution and effort in making it such a great conference.
